I am so happy you stopped by!
My name is Rachel Buckley, married to the handsome Lance Buckley, and we are the proud new owners of our first home!! I am starting this blog so that I can document our adventures of homeownership, specifically all of the fun (and probably some not so fun) changes we are planning to make during the first few years with our own four hands!
Let me start by giving you some background on us:
05/06/2011 - Lance and I met completely by God's desire while out with friends
05/13/2011 - Lance asked if he could "snatch me up before anyone else did" and I became his girlfriend
01/21/2012 - Lance asked if he could "snatch me up permanently" in front of both of our families and I moved up in status - to fiance!
10/13/2012 - I got to marry the love of my life, a man I know God designed completely for me and visa-versa
05/31/2013 - Lance and I closed on our beautiful first home!

Lance is a wonderful husband and a loving dad to our beautiful baby girls:
Delta (L) and Kimber (R) are our two black labs who we call our children. They are the sweetest, happiest, most spoiled dogs you will ever meet, and we can't wait to introduce them to their new home (a handful of our first projects will be just for them!).
Okay, now that you know a little bit about me, I'll get back to the good stuff!
Our new home is in Carrollton, just a few miles Northwest of Dallas. It is a gorgeous, red brick, two story beauty! One of the huge perks to our new neighborhood is that we are walking distance to an extremely long hiking/biking/running trail that also has three ponds on it that we can fish in and the dogs can swim in!
We cannot wait to get our hands dirty and are just so excited and blessed to be able to purchase this gorgeous house!
My next post will have all of the "before" pictures of the inside and outside of the house, as well as a video of the girls seeing their home (and back yard) for the first time!
